머리에 떠오르는 것을 무엇이든 소리를 내어 영어로 말하면 정신이 좀 이상한 자 (a deranged person)로 보일 수 (be made out to be ~) 있는데, 그렇게 보이는 것은 높은 구두 영어 구사력 (a high command of oral English) 습득을 위해 열정적인 (ardent) 영어 학습자가 치러야 할 좀 불편한 것에 지나지 않는다

Talking aloud as a teaching/learning/research methodology/strategy is verbally formulating the process of thinking. Using the strategy to improve my oral English proficiency, I define it as wasting no time in orally channeling whatever comes to my head/mind. This strategy is effective at rectifying my occasional problem of giving the impression that I am less than highly proficient in oral English. The problem is born largely of my deeply ingrained practice of meditation and deep thinking in the process of writing in accurate and quality English. This practice has difficulty fitting into oral English communication, which is so supposedly spontaneous (Wells, 1999) as to inherently and lopsidedly favor fluent-appearing speakers and shortchange less than fluent-appearing speakers.
